Clinical Trial Results
The British Journal of Ophthalmology recently published 12-month clinical results of a new suprachoroidal bio-stenting procedure using Iantrek’s proprietary micro-surgical instrumentation. Eyes enrolled in the study achieved a sustained reduction in intraocular pressure (IOP) over 12 months, with close to 40% reduction from a medicated baseline of 24.2 ± 6.9 mmHg to 14.6 ± 3.2 mmHg (p=0.004). The bio-stenting approach utilized Iantrek’s CycloPen Cyclodialysis System for controlled dissection of a cyclodialysis cleft followed by delivery of highly permeable, conforming scleral allograft bio-tissue to reinforce and maintain the cleft.
